About Aspire
Who is Aspire Fiber?
Aspire Fiber is a fiber-optic internet service provider. Our journey began as Aspire Communications, a telecommunications construction contractor. Over the years we partnered with many internet providers on projects ranging from apartment and condo network builds to full city deployments. Since 2019 we have rapidly expanded our size and footprint, operating in markets on both coasts of the United States. In 2024 we launched our own internet service, driven by a mission to deliver fast, affordable internet to customers underserved by the current internet monopoly.
What areas do you serve?
See our coverage page for where we are live and where we are building next.
Getting service
How do I find out if I can get it?
Head to signup.aspirefiber.com, or click Check availability in the site menu. It takes you to our tool, where you can search your address in seconds with no account and no card. You will either find out service is available on your street right now, or see when and if it is coming to your neighborhood.
My street isn't ready. Is registering worth it?
Yes. We build in order of demand, so registrations concentrated in one area directly affect our build schedule. When you and your neighbors register together, your street can move up the order. You will get a short update once a month, and the day service goes live on your street we email everyone who pre-registered, so you stay informed and get first dibs on installation.
I live in an apartment or an HOA community.
The owner or HOA has to sign a right-of-entry agreement first. Registering is the most useful thing you can do; the more residents asking, the easier that conversation. Tell your board too, and see our communities page.
I rent my home. Can I switch to Aspire Fiber?
Absolutely, and plenty of our customers are renters. Since we install fiber directly to the property, we suggest looping in your landlord or property owner before we begin. Most owners say yes quickly once they hear why: it adds long-term value to their property at no cost to them, our install is minimally invasive (narrow trenching rather than big open digging, and we restore the yard so it looks the way it did before), and fiber is a sought-after amenity that makes a rental more attractive to future tenants. We are also glad to talk to your landlord directly and walk them through the whole thing.
How long from ordering to being connected?
On a street that is already live, usually a week or two, and you pick the day and window. If it is not live yet, the wait is the build.
Price and billing
Is the advertised price the real price?
Yes. The price on your address page is the price on your bill. It shows the first 12-month rate and the rate after, with no equipment rental and no surcharges. Every plan ships with its FCC broadband facts label. See all plans.
Is there a contract?
No. Month to month, cancel whenever, no exit fee. Changing your plan up or down is a phone call and takes effect on your next bill.
Are there data caps?
Nope, no data caps here. With Aspire Fiber you can stream, game, work and scroll to your heart's content without worrying about hitting a limit. Unlike some providers that add extra charges or slow your speeds after a certain amount of use, we believe in giving you the freedom to enjoy unlimited internet. Whether you are binge-watching your favorite shows or uploading massive files, you will always have the speed and data you need.
Do I need autopay?
For promo pricing, yes. Autopay and paperless billing are both required to enroll in and keep any promotion. Without a promo, autopay is optional but recommended. Paying by ACH (bank draft) is also free, while credit cards add $3 and checks add $5.
Do you have a discount for seniors or veterans?
10% off every month for seniors 65 and up, veterans and first responders. Tell us when we set you up. There is no form to chase and no annual re-application.
Installation and equipment
What does installation cost?
Nothing. It is a professional installation by our own technician, not a self-install kit. See what to expect.
Is a router included?
Yes, from 1 Gig up, at no charge (500 Mbps is bring-your-own). Larger homes can add an upgraded model or extenders at $5/mo, and we will tell you if you do not need them.
Can I use my own router?
Yes, you can use your own router. We just suggest making sure it is capable of handling the speeds of the plan you have selected.
Will there be a physical connection to my home, and will you drill into it?
Yes. We run our fiber to an access point on the outside of your home, then through to one point inside that you choose, where the equipment is installed. The technician shows you exactly where first. To see the whole process, visit how we build.
Do I need to be home for installation?
Yes. Our technician needs access to your home to complete the installation.
Will installing Aspire Fiber affect my current cable service or coaxial cables?
No. Aspire Fiber installs a completely separate fiber-optic line to your home. Our network does not use, modify, disconnect or tamper with your existing coaxial cable in any way. Your current cable TV or internet service stays fully intact unless you choose to cancel it.
Using your service
My Wi-Fi is slower than my plan.
Test with a cable. If the wired number is right, it is Wi-Fi, usually placement or an older device, and an extender in the right spot normally ends it.
How do internet speeds actually work?
Think of speed as bandwidth. The more bandwidth you have, the more data can move at once, which means faster downloads, smoother streaming and better performance for multiple devices on Wi-Fi at the same time.
What happens in a power outage?
Your fiber connection itself is not affected by a power outage, but the equipment in your home needs power to run, so you will be offline until power returns. Once power is back, your equipment should come back on its own. If it does not, see our support page. A small battery backup (UPS) on your router keeps you online through short outages.
I'm moving.
If you are moving somewhere else we serve, we move your service and installation is free again. If not, tell us the date and we will close the account. There is nothing to pay to leave, but you will need to return your equipment.
TV, streaming and phone
Do you offer TV or phone?
For TV, yes. We help customers find streaming and TV solutions to replace the cable bundles they had with traditional providers, using tools like MyBundle and our partnership with DirecTV. For phone, we do not offer cellular plans, but we do offer a VoIP solution through Ooma to replace a landline, with plans for both home and business.
What is MyBundle?
We have teamed up with MyBundle to make streaming TV simple. MyBundle offers free tools that help you find streaming options tailored to your favorite content. Use their streaming selection tool to get personalized recommendations, then explore the marketplace for the best deals. See our streaming guide to get started.
Can switching to fiber and live TV streaming save me money?
Often, yes. Cable bundles can get expensive with fees for equipment and services, and many households pay over $200 a month. By switching to fiber internet and live TV streaming, you get faster, more reliable internet and can save around $100 a month. Our partner MyBundle makes it easy to explore your options.
Can I keep my phone number if I switch to the Ooma phone plan?
In most cases, yes. Ooma can transfer, or port, your existing number so you do not have to give everyone a new one. A few things to know: you will get a temporary number to use right away while the transfer is in progress, there is a one-time porting fee of $39.95, porting usually takes about 7 to 10 business days, and you should keep your current phone service active until the port is finished, because canceling early risks losing the number.
Construction
How long will construction be on my street?
Our construction happens in three phases. Each time you see our crew on your street, they should not be there for longer than a day. See how we build for the full timeline.
Will you dig in my yard?
We work in the public right-of-way, which in many neighborhoods runs along the edge of your property and can look like part of your yard. Our crews do their best to restore the area to its original condition once the work is complete.
Why are you placing fiber duct in front of my property if I didn't sign up?
We have an agreement with the city to place fiber duct access at every home and business we pass. This makes sure the entire city has the option to access or switch to fiber, whether you sign up now or somewhere down the road.
Why do you have to trench in my yard if I sign up for service?
When there is existing conduit in good condition, we use it. But existing lines are often obstructed, collapsed or already full, which means they cannot carry our fiber. In most cases we install our own new duct through a narrow trench so you get a clean, reliable connection built to last.
How will you notify residents about construction?
Our crews place door tags one week before construction begins in your area, and we post no-park signs three days before work starts. Both include a QR code that links to our website, where you will find videos on what to expect throughout the process.
Who is paying for this project? Are taxpayers footing the bill?
They are not. This is a privately funded project built at no cost to taxpayers.
Will network construction affect my current internet service?
No. Building our fiber network does not affect existing networks. We are building a brand new network using fiber-optic cables rather than coax, and it is installed underground.
Will I be able to access my street, home and driveway on construction day?
Yes. Our crews work along the edge of the street, which is why we ask that you avoid parking there during construction. We will not block your home or driveway for any extended period. In most cases we are simply passing by.
