Arenova Capital takes majority investment in Aspire Fiber to support 10 Gbps fiber-to-the-home expansion
Aspire Broadband Holdings, Inc., doing business as Aspire Fiber, has secured a majority investment from Arenova Capital, a Dallas-based growth equity firm. The investment includes $50 million in equity capital to fund the company's network expansion.
The existing management team, led by chief executive Stephen Weatherford, remains as meaningful shareholders and continues to direct operations.
What it funds
Aspire Fiber began serving Moorpark, California in 2025 and is currently building in both Moorpark and Santa Clarita, with further expansion across California under consideration. The company builds underground fiber-to-the-home in partnership with municipalities and local stakeholders, with the aim of improving broadband access and community resilience.
In practice it's what turns a good local network into a regional one: more crews in the ground, more cabinets turned up per month, and a schedule we can commit to.
What the team is saying
"This partnership with Arenova marks a significant milestone for our company," said Stephen Weatherford, Aspire Fiber's chief executive officer, pointing to a shared vision for "building high-quality, community-focused fiber internet infrastructure across California." With Arenova's backing, he added, the company is "well-positioned to accelerate our expansion while maintaining disciplined execution and operational excellence."
"We're incredibly excited to partner with Stephen and the Aspire Fiber team at this important inflection point," said David Li, managing partner of Arenova. He noted that "Stephen and his team are extremely experienced in the fiber sector," and called Southern California "a highly compelling opportunity for long-term fiber investment."
